First LocoRoco 2 info - now they have teeth
Screenshot emerges from Famitsu
If there's one sequel we're looking forward, it's LocoRoco 2. The original LocoRoco was one of the most endearingly bonkers and original games to come out on any platform so it got extra bonkers bonus points for coming out on the otherwise rather staid PSP.
We've known that a sequel has been planned for a while but there hadn't been any further details. Now though, Japanese magazine Famitsu has run some information on the game - including info about features such as the Locos (the blobs) being able to learn abilities then use them when needed, Lemmings-style.
Apparently Locos will now be able to use skills such as diving underwater and pulling things out with their teeth, making them more multi-talented than in the original game, when they could roll around and sing.
Famitsu also has a first screenshot of the game which you can see here via Gamekyo. We'd like to say it gives away amazing secrets, but actually it looks pretty similar to LocoRoco, although that's presumably not a bad thing.
Equally, the magazine doesn't have firm info on a release date for the game, but does report it's around 75% complete, which suggests a 2008 release date, at least in Japan.
