Unreal Engine 3-powered Lili will support widescreen, new iPod touch
Plus, a new trailer for the most gorgeous game on iOS
One of our most hotly anticipated iOS games is the gorgeous adventure-RPG hybrid Lili, which, its developer has confirmed, will support the iPhone 5's widescreen 16:9 display.
Lili comes from BitMonster: an indie startup made up of six ex-Epic Games staffers. The game stars a bespectacled girl on the mysterious island of Geos, where she'll take on an oppressive regime. You go, girl.
She probably won't be slugging enemies - this is a non-combat game, and Lili will have other ways of dealing with bad guys - but she'll have plenty else to occupy her time. There are items to find, characters to chat to, mini-games to crack, and some RPG-style quests to complete.
The game will be compatible with iPhone and iPad, and it will also support the new iPod touch that was announced last night, thanks to the gadget's capable dual-core A5 chip.
Lili hits the App Store on September 21st - that's the same day the iPhone 5 goes on sale. The fifth-generation iPod touch is out in October.
