How to unlock the Ghostbusters in LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed

Piptown is slathered in slime, a portal to another world has opened up, and there’s an ugly green ghost with an insatiable appetite causing trouble. There’s only one group of heroes to call…

As we recently reported, the Ghostbusters are making their debut — proton packs and all — in the first licensed crossover to feature within LEGO® Legacy: Heroes Unboxed. During this limited-time event, you have the chance to unlock all four original members of the Ghostbusters crew and Slimer.

So, how do you do it? If you’ve played this hero-collector RPG before, you’ve probably completed one of its previous story events. This follows the same format; over the course of four weeks, complete each of the staggered, in-game events to add the new characters to your collection, one by one.

All five of these new Ghostbusters minifigures are up for grabs, and each has their own specialty. Ray Stantz is a helpful support character, equal parts anxiety and enthusiasm. Peter Venkman may be a slacker, but he’s also an attacker — good for when you need to zap a ghoul or two. Winston is the dependable, business-savvy tank of the team, while Egon Spengler uses his brainiac inventions to great effect as a tech-specialised attacker and support. Then there’s Slimer, the crew’s ever-hungry, ectoplasm-spewing secret weapon.

The teams you collect in LEGO® Legacy: Heroes Unboxed all have strengths and weaknesses, giving you new ways to tackle your opponents in turn-based battle. True to form, the Ghostbusters crew is especially good against the game’s mighty Ninjago team, the eye-patch wearing Pirate team, and (of course) the Spookiest of enemies.

The crossover event is set to run from 23rd July for four weeks. Discover more about the ghostly goings on in Piptown, including a dastardly plot by the evil Lord Garmadon, as you unlock this iconic set of five minifigures.
