New images and details for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3DS

Nintendo has released new screenshots for the 3DS remake of stone-cold classic action-adventure Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, showing off how the lower screen is used, as well as depicting Link in a variety of action poses.

Originally released on the N64 back in 1998, Ocarina of Time is widely considered to be the best game in the venerable Legend of Zelda series, and it's still regarded by many as the best game ever made.

Taking the role of Link, you have to use the titular ocarina to manipulate time and space to save princess Zelda from the evil clutches of Ganondorf. You also get to ride a horse, Epona, across the sweeping fields of Hyrule.

For this new version, the lower screen of the 3DS will be used as both an always-on map and inventory screen for equipping items and weapons, as well as a free-look option for looking around.

Take a look at the gallery up in the top-right of the story for all the images released so far. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is expected to launch around the same time as the 3DS, in March.
