Ironhide Game Studio has updated both entries in its Kingdom Rush series for Android and iOS with new stages, heroes, bosses, and achievements.

Kingdom Rush: Frontiers is now available for just 69p / 99c on iPhone [buy] and Android [buy]. On iPad, meanwhile, you can pick Kingdom Rush: Frontiers HD up for just £1.99 / $2.99 [buy].

In terms of updates, Ironhide has added new free stage The Fungal Forest; new hero The Mighty Thor; and a boss fight with Myconid and his Rothshrooms to Kingdom Rush.
Meanwhile, the Christmas update for Kingdom Rush: Frontiers contains a new free stage; a new free hero; a new boss fight with King Xyzzy and his Saurian Deathcoils; and - if you're willing to shell out for him - a new hero in the shape of Khaz the Minotaur Warlord.
Both games were well received by us, with Kingdom Rush earning a Gold Award and Kingdom Rush: Frontiers collecting a Silver Award.
