PlayStation Plus subscribers with a Vita will get something old and something new next week, as two polar opposite games are added to the service.

For starters, there's the violent shooter Killzone: Mercenary which makes you a money-hungry gun for hire on the planets Vekta and Helghan.

You get to fight for both Helghast forces as well as ISA specialists, and you'll earn cash (which can be spent on better weapons and power-ups) by completing objectives.

We gave it a Silver and said "Killzone: Mercenary is the best first-person shooter on the Vita, even though that's not saying much. It feels great, looks outstanding, and has a hugely addictive online multiplayer mode".

If that's not your bag, why not try MonsterBag - a cute new puzzle platformer that will make its debut as a PS Plus game.

It's a charming game of "cartoon eccentricity", according to Chris, about a little blue monster called V that has to sneak past people "This involves studying their behaviour and using V's teleportation ability at the right time.

Both games will be added to the Instant Game Collection on 8th April which means you can get these games for free as part of your subscription. Then, as long as you hold a PS Plus subscription, you'll be able to play them indefinitely.

You'll also get stealth epic Dishonored on PS3, Alaskan adventure Never Alone on PS4, and teleporting platformer Aaru’s Awakening and roguelike FPS Tower of Guns on both.
