WHA Entertainment, which specialises in downloadable titles based on existing IP, has today released new screenshots and the first gameplay video for Kick-Ass, a game based on the movie of the same name.
The game will be released worldwide via PSN and the App Store on April 15th. An isometric third-person brawler, it sports an attractive cel-shaded look not dissimilar to GTA: Chinatown Wars.
The cartoonish aesthetic belies a surprisingly gory game, severed limbs and blood painting the screen red. We’ll have to wait to play the full release to see if the tone manages to balance violence and humour in the same way that the film appears to.
