Paw Print Games's terrific Kami Retro – still part of publisher Gamevil's ongoing 'Dollar Deals' sale – is set to have its chunky pixels rendered in glorious HD as an iPad version goes on sale on the App Store tonight.

The Silver Award-winning platformer was described as "colourful, fun, and challenging" on iPhone by Pocket Gamer alumnus Tracy Erickson, coming highly recommended for its "clever mix of platforming and puzzle-solving."

It's available in the New Zealand App Store at present, and will hit the UK store at midnight. You'll need 63MB of space on your tablet to download the game.

While Gamevil's other offers still stand, Kami Retro HD will cost a little more than a single measly buck - $2.99 for US owners and £1.79 for UK players, to be precise.

A fair cost for iPad optimisation? Let us know what you think about the price increase by commenting below.
