Ironhide Game Studio is adding its own twist to the tower defence genre with Junkworld, the studio's upcoming mobile strategy game on Apple Arcade, Apple’s game subscription service that offers unlimited access to an evolving collection of more than 200 incredibly fun games. Featuring fast-paced stages meant to get your adrenaline pumping, the game aims to make the often-intimidating genre more accessible for casual players thanks to its easy-to-understand mechanics.

Junkworld offers action-packed battles with challenging strategic depths as you strive to survive another day across a post-apocalyptic world. You'll lead your own gang of ragtag Scavengers and attempt to navigate tricky terrain and hostile weather conditions, all presented with a unique brand of humour the studio is known for.

As you formulate your game plan on the treacherous battlefield, you'll be able to deploy your chosen towers wherever you feel they would serve you best in defeating The Order. There are 4 types of terrain you need to master, with plenty of rewards up for grabs for clearing the main campaign and the secondary systems.

The keenest tacticians will find plenty of ways to flex their strategic prowess across the game's 80 stages, which spice up the gameplay as you aim to take down enemy factions in tower defence combat.

In particular, you'll figure out the best deck composition, upgrade your arsenal, and survive hordes of enemies in the Build Phase and the Defense Phase. The former lets you strategise the right tower cards to deploy, while the latter puts your quick reflexes to the test to defeat waves of enemies coming your way.

If you're keen on learning more about Junkworld ahead of its release later this month on Apple Arcade across iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV, you can head on over to the official website for more juicy details.
