Jetpack Joyride will welcome Masters of the Universe in an upcoming update
By the power of Grayskull!

- Masters of the Universe event kicks off July 30th
- Five legendary skins will be added
- Four jetpacks and three vehicles also added
Barry Steakfries is getting a serious power-up in Jetpack Joyride’s latest update. Starting July 30th, you'll get to experience a limited-time Masters of the Universe event, bringing the power of Eternia to this chaotic, side-scrolling world. In partnership with Mattel, Halfbrick Studios is letting you suit up as the legends of Grayskull - just don’t expect Skeletor to play fair.
This crossover in Jetpack Joyride adds five new legendary costumes straight from Masters of the Universe, letting you take flight as He-Man, Skeletor, or other iconic characters.
Each costume doesn’t just look cool - they also tie into a themed arsenal of four jetpacks and three vehicles, including the roaring Battle Cat and the unmistakable Power Sword. It’s a dose of 80s nostalgia hurtling through a wall of lasers and coin trails.
This is far from Barry’s first brush with chaos, but it could be the wildest yet. The crossover doesn’t just re-skin the experience as it injects a layer of heroic absurdity, pitting Eternian tech and magic against missile barrages and zappers.

It’s also a clever way to refresh one of mobile’s longest-running arcade hits. Jetpack Joyride’s formula hasn’t changed much over the years, but crossover events like this one keep it feeling fresh, especially when the jetpacks are this ridiculous and the nostalgia hits this hard.

The Masters of the Universe event begins July 30th and will run for a limited time until August 20th. If you’ve ever wanted to see what happens when you mix a power sword with a jet-powered lab escape, now’s your chance.
