iOS endless-flyer Jetpack Joyride to be updated in April with 15 perk-like gadgets

Back in January, we told you that Aussie-based developer Halfbrick was "hard at work" on a big update for its Gold Award-winning endless-flyer Jetpack Joyride.

Unfortunately, we didn't have a clue back then what new features would be included in the update. Now, we do.

The forthcoming refresh, which is expected to hit the App Store in April, will introduce 15 perk-like gadgets, which you can choose to equip at the beginning of each round.

These special appliances include Air Barry shoes, which allow you to jump (rather than glide) through the game; and the Freeze-O-Matic, which turns the game's foul-mouthed hero into a giant block of ice that slides across the floor and nabs you some extra distance when you crash land.

Finally, you'll be able to equip Barry with several powerful magnets. These, like the magnets you can currently purchase for the game's vehicles, make collecting coins a darn sight easier.

Jetpack Joyride is available on the App Store as a Universal app for free, so there's no reason not to download it.
