Gameloft has released the first trailer for its upcoming Iron Man 3 game, which is set to blast onto iOS and Android on April 25th.

Unlike the French developer's previous Iron Man titles - the most recent of which was a standard third-person blaster - this next interactive instalment of the popular Marvel franchise is an auto-runner (well, auto-flier) in the style of Temple Run.

As you can see from the trailer below, old Shellhead will be rocketing through various suburban locations, presumably in pursuit of his ruthless foe The Mandarin.

Though Iron Man 3 might belong to the same genre as Temple Run, Tony Stark has to deal with a lot more firepower than Imangi's sprinting archaeologist.

In fact, you're going to have to guide the red-and-gold-suited hero though gunfire, waves of missiles, and nasty-looking mechanical drones if you want to see the credits roll.

Iron Man 3 will be available to download on iOS and Android on April 25th. Yep, that's the same day the movie hits IMAX cinemas worldwide.
