It’s become something of a trend for successful iPhone games to make the short hop over to mobile. This is a good thing - just look at the excellent conversions of Doodle Jump and iShoot.

Now, Player X and Zed have teamed up to bring another iPhone classic to mobile - iBomber.

It’s a simple case of aiming and dropping a whole heap of explosive ordnance from your aircraft onto… well, anything that moves on the ground below. As it’s set in the Pacific theatre of WWII, that means battleships, aircraft carriers, submarines, gun turrets, airfields, and so on.

We're told that the mobile version features 14 missions, multiple bomb types and "super smooth gameplay." Keep an eye out for our review to see if that is indeed the case.

iBomber will be out on all portals at the end of the month.
