While turn-based strategy title Hero Academy has been eating up the lunch hours of iOS gamers everywhere for quite a while now, it has yet to step onto the Android battlefield.

In fact, after the recent announcement of the Steam version (complete with Team Fortress 2 team), many began to wonder whether Robot Entertainment had any intention of releasing an Android version of Hero Academy at all.

However, a post on the the Robot Entertainment forum suggests that an Android port of Hero Academy is indeed on the way - the team is just ironing out the kinks.

Cramming for the finals

"It's being worked on," Robot Entertainment's community manager, who goes by the forum handle 'SixOkay', confirms in the aforementioned blog post.

"There are a handful of big issues to resolve before we can finalize [the release date]. But they're in the queue."

So, there you have it, 'droid fans. Keep the faith, and soon you too shall be pitting Dwarves against Medics on your Google-powered handset.
