Sanrio's Hello Kitty is perhaps one of the most dominant mascots on the planet, as no one seemingly comes close to matching the iconic quality and global dominance of this humble white kitten. So, little surprise that there's another mobile release coming May 14th to further the footprint (pawprint) she has on phones.
In this case, it's a familiar genre as Hello Kitty now has her own match-three puzzler with Hello Kitty Friends Match! If you've ever encountered puzzlers in this genre you'll already know what to expect as Hello Kitty must solve match-three levels to restore colour to Dreamland, helped along the way by other Sanrio mascots.
You'll be able to explore Dreamland and decorate it with newly unlocked cosmetics while interacting with famous Sanrio characters, saving your memories in an Album and even exchanging hearts with your teammates as you go. As far as match three is concerned, this is as straightforward as you get.
But at the same time, I doubt that many Hello Kitty fans out there are looking for something that puts a new and interesting twist on the genre, so much as they're looking forward to new ways to see their favourite character.
So while I definitely don't see much that stands out in Hello Kitty Friends Match, that's not necessarily a problem. Sanrio's releases have been of generally high quality, and given that Hello Kitty herself is their flagship character I've no doubt that they'll be fairly strict on the quality level of this newest release too.
