Harry Potter: Wizards Unite's latest update adds Adventure Sync compatibility, a feature that was added to Pokemon Go previously

Niantic has announced that Adventure Sync will be rolling out to Harry Potter: Wizards Unite this week. Additionally, this feature's arrival also coincides with several updates to Portkeys, with a few quality of life changes and chances to get extra stuff from them.

If you're unfamiliar, Adventure Sync is a feature that will give players the option to connect Apple Health or Google fit to their game. This will record their walking distance, even when the game isn't running, meaning that they'll be able to unlock Portkey Portmanteaus without worrying about the app significantly draining their phone's battery. They will receive notifications whenever they've been unlocked too.

It can be turned on and off within the game's settings, so if it's not something you're interested in, you can just ignore it. Adventure Sync has been available in Pokemon Go for some time now and has been a requested feature for Wizards Unite ever since.

As mentioned, alongside this update there has also been a few adjustments to how Portkeys work. Firstly, players can now hold an additional two Portkeys at a time, bring the grand total up to 10. On top of this, there will be new artwork to highlight the difference between 2, 5 and 10km Portmanteaus, being represented by a boot, kettle and deflated ball respectively.

That's not all though, some Portkey environments that were previously only available during Brilliant Events will be returning such as Dolores Umbridge's Office. Players will now also have the chance to be rewarded with Spell Energy if they tap Wrackspurts within a Portkey. Finally, there's also a chance to discover Foundable fragments that you couldn't collect from Portkeys before.

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is available now on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
