The end of the year is the time for presents and awards, and German publisher HandyGames was happy to unwrap its award for the Best German Mobile Game of 2010.

The winning game was strategy and city building title Anno - Create a New World (itself a Pocket Gamer Bronze award winner), which is based on the popular German PC license, now published by Ubisoft.

We built this city

"We're very happy with having won the award and we would like to thank all our fans who voted for our game in the public voting for the best Mobile Game of the Year", commented Christopher Kassulke, HandyGames' CEO.

"We'd also like to thank our developer team, our partner Advanced Mobile Applications and the Aruba Events team, which made the German Developer Award possible."

And as a thank you, Anno - Create a New World is now available at a reduced price on all German language mobile games portals, as well as in the Nokia Ovi Store and the Sony Ericsson Play Now Arena.
