Mobile games publisher HandyGames saw its first iPhone game launch over Christmas, via a partnership with Four Corners Development Group.

My Model Train is live on the App Store in a special Winter Edition, developed by FCDG and based on the HandyGames mobile game of the same name.

"The iPhone platform opens a whole new dimension in mobile gaming", says HandyGames CEO Markus Kassulke (pictured). "That's why we started to adjust our games to these special abilities and to conquer also this part of the games market."

Conquering the App Store, with its thousands of games, may prove a stiff challenge for HandyGames, but the company has plenty of well-known mobile titles to port over.

The two companies are working together on a long-term basis, according to FCDG CEO Jeff Miller, with more iPhone titles due for release throughout 2009.
