Freemium twin-stick Android shooter Gun Bros has just blasted its way onto DeNA's social gaming platform Mobage.

In Gun Bros, you and a friend (or an AI-controlled comrade) must fight off waves of increasingly aggressive enemies using a combination of cannons, explosives, and air strikes.

As in most freemium titles, Gun Bros affords you the chance to speed up your progress by inviting you to hand over real money for extra items and weapons.

Guns in the family

As for Mobage, well, it's an Android-based social gaming network, which currently caters to over 35 million smartphone and PC users.

And it's thanks to a recent deal between DeNA and Gun Bros's publisher Glu Mobile that the latter's popular shooter is now playable on the former's platform.

"Mobage is the premier mobile destination for social games and the perfect platform to bring Gun Bros to an even wider audience," Glu Mobile SVP of sales and marketing Adam Flanders said.

Mobage account holders should be able to log in and play Gun Bros on their Android device today.
