Twin-stick sequel Gun Bros 2 finally blasting onto App Stores everywhere
Brothers in arms
Ever since freemium twin-stick sequel Gun Bros 2 turned up on the Canadian App Store late last year, we've been wondering when the rest of the world was going to get its turn.
Well, it looks like we won't have to wait too much longer to get our thumbs on Glu's bullet-ridden blaster.
We can report that the developer has broken a three-month silence to reveal that - dum, dum, DUM! - Gun Bros 2 is "coming soon".
Alongside this announcement, Glu published a brand-new launch trailer (below), in which sharpshooting siblings Francis and Percy shred their way through a horde of enemy combatants.
Though very little of the actual Gun Bros 2 gameplay is betrayed in the trailer, it's clear that Glu is going for a more colourful, cartoony vibe this time around.
In fact, the character art and freeze-frame character intros call to mind Gearbox's Borderlands universe.
Nice rideAs we discovered last September, fans of the Gun Bros franchise can look forward to taking control of vehicles, such as the endearingly named "Honey Badger", in this sequel.
Don't let the cutesy moniker fool you, though: this military transport comes with missile launchers as standard.
You will also be able to augment your weapons with attachments and upgrades, though we wouldn't be surprised to discover that the best boomsticks are hidden behind paywalls.
We'll be interested to see whether Gun Bros 2 improves upon its popular - if grind-heavy - predecessor. Expect it to hit App Stores and Google Play Stores worldwide within the next few weeks.
