GameJane offers mobile multiplayer skill gaming

Mobile skill gaming is a trend we're going to hear more about in the coming months - it's not fully-fledged gambling, but instead involves trying to win cash through your gaming skills.

We've written about one mobile skill games startup before, Skiller, but now we've got another one for you.

It's called GameJane, and has been launched (in beta) by Swedish firm Trust Solutions. The idea is that you play a range of multiplayer mobile games against people for real money.

The way it works seems pretty simple: you challenge people to games and bet a certain stake on the outcome, with the winner taking all. There are also tournaments where you can win money for your skills.

15 games are currently listed on GameJane's website, with many based on familiar gaming genres. So Bricks is like Breakout, Falling Down is Tetris, and Waka Waka is... well, let's just say Namco may have something to say about that one.

It's an intriguing service, and there are even some Reset Generation style online replays so you can watch other people's matches.

Click here to find out more, and request a beta invite.
