Funko Pop! Blitz is now known for some of its very bizarre crossovers, and this week’s looks to be no less whacky. This week, until 12th January, you will be able to enjoy the sweet rewards of the game’s latest event which is themed around Hostess snack characters.

During the time the event is live, you can take a trip to Twinkie Town to join the marathon drop event, collecting iconic snack icons in the process such as Captain Cupcake, King Ding Dong, Fruit Pie Magician and Twinkie The Kid in both regular and Chrome versions.

The event works like a typical match-3 round of Funko Pop! Blitz, but you need to collect Twinkie Packs by dropping them to the bottom and keeping them away from the despicable bandits trying to poach them.

Using the Pops! collected from this week’s event also multiplies the rewards earned, so you should be sure to collect as many sweet characters as possible. You’re able to get the first four Pops! by opening Event Pop! Boxes in-game, but there are also some rarer drops such as Twinkie the Kid (Chrome) who you can only receive by completing the whole event.

Funko Pop! Blitz is a match-3 puzzle game that features Funko Pop versions of iconic characters from across many popular franchises, including Back to the Future, Shrek, The Office, Parks and Recreation and How to Train Your Dragon. Each crossover lasts a week, before a new one is rolled out, allowing you to collect new characters each week you play.

You can download Funko Pop! Blitz now from the iOS App Store and Google Play for Android. It’s a free to play title with in-app purchases.
