Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier crosses 2 million pre-registrations in 20 days and is available for pre-installation on iOS and Android
Everyone who pre-registered Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier in search of rewards can finally rest. Because in just under three weeks, the super popular franchise’s first battle royale has breached its final milestone of 2 million pre-registrations.
Players have it all now. At launch, everyone who pre-registered for The First Soldier will receive a Chocobo Egg (300,000 pre-registrations), the Shinra Mask Skin (500,000 pre-registrations), the Shinra Bike Skin (770,000 pre-registrations), the Shinra Utility Vehicle Skin (1,000,000 pre-registrations), and now finally, the Shinra Helicopter Skin for 2,000,000 pre-registrations.
FF7: TFS launches globally on November 17th, however, players can pre-load the game right now so that they can play immediately when it launches at 12:00 am PST. In case you missed it, you can also check out the battle royale’s opening video below.
The Chocobo Egg that players will receive can be incubated and hatched in the Chocobo Farm in order to raise a chicken-like creature that can be personalized and used in battle. The game’s first season also features Moogle-themed skins. These can be obtained by earning special boxes containing data items that are awarded for defeating monsters. Each new season will feature different skins for players to get.
The First Soldier will also include items from the Final Fantasy VII universe. These include iconic items like the Nail Bat (sword skin), Umbrella (staff skin), Military Gloves (hand-to-hand skin), Origami Crane (shuriken skin), and the Conch Shell Knife (dagger skin), all of which are purchasable using the in-game currency Gil.
Perhaps a final recap before the game officially launches, Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier is a 75-person battle royale where players battle it out in Midgar until there is only one player standing. Soldiers have an arsenal including guns, swords, and magic which can be used to defeat other players as well as monsters.
