Announced just earlier this month, Final Fantasy V has now been released on PSP.

Strangely enough, the game has landed on PSP a week before the Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection, which is still due for a April 22nd release.

Although it's mainly a straight port, this new edition comes with all-new CG cinematic sequences on top of the original Active Time Battle system, mini-quests, and more.

The game tells the story of the Tycoon King, who discovers the Wind Crystal shattered into pieces. A meteor falls, some terrible earthquakes occur, and a band of heroes are brought together to save the world.

You can download Final Fantasy V now via PSN for either your PSP or PS3 system for £7.99.
