Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions for iPhone out late June/mid-July
iPad version to follow shortly after
Originally slated for a 2010 release, and subsequently given a tentative 'spring 2011' launch date, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions on iPhone has been inked in for late June to mid-July.
Assistant producer on Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions Shiina confirmed via Facebook that the iPhone game is in its final development stages, with Square Enix working hard to nail a June release.
Shiina also revealed that an HD iPad version is in the works, which is expected to drop shortly after its smaller brother.

For those of you out of the loop, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions is a tactical role-playing game set in the fictional kingdom of Ivalice.
It follows the War of the Lions, a conflict brought about by the death of King Ondoria.
Sony's PSP version of Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions received a rare Pocket Gamer Platinum Award at review.
A price for either the iPhone or iPad version is yet to be announced.
