Fightlings has come out of soft-launch and is now officially released
Explore, collect, and play a game of pairs
After a long soft-launch Fightlings has finally been officially released to 20 countries around the world.
Fightlings is an interesting mix of a collectable card game and a location-based exploration game. You walk around the real world collecting a resource called Souls that'll help you unlock minions who will fight for you in the card game section. You go head-to-head with an opponent and play a game of pairs while also using your cards at the right times to defeat them.
It's a unique combination of genres but one that looks rather promising. And aesthetically, the game is just stunning with a nice varied colour pallet and some really cool detailed looking creatures to collect and fight with.
When we went hands-on with the game over a year ago we were quite impressed even if the tutorial wasn't very clear to follow. But it's been a long time since then so hopefully these issues have been fixed for the full release.
The game is out in the UK, the US, and many more, so double-check your phone to see if you can get your hands on it. Fightlings is free to download on iOS and will be coming to Android sometime in the future.
