Fighting Fantasy Classics adds brutally unforgiving Crypt of the Sorcerer to its growing library
  • Popular Ian Livingstone digital gamebook joins the fray
  • Take on the unforgiving dungeons
  • Optional difficulty adjustment and QOL features

Tin Man Games has announced the official launch of Crypt of the Sorcerer as a new digital addition to the Fighting Fantasy Classics library, offering fans of series co-creator Ian Livingstone a taste of Razaak's power on mobile. If you're looking for more of a challenge when you're crawling through dungeons, this fully interactive take on the 1987 classic should be right up your alley.

In Crypt of the Sorcerer, you'll witness the rise of Razaak and push yourself to the limit across what's often considered a brutally unforgiving journey. With this new addition, the Fighting Fantasy Classics collection hits 20 digital releases, joining the ranks of Deathtrap Dungeon, Creature of Havoc, and City of Thieves.

The collection is seemingly poised to add more in the future, especially given the more modern releases like Assassins of Allansia and The Port of Peril.

Now, if you feel like you're not quite up for the torment just yet, you can toggle the optional difficulty mode to keep the punishments at bay. There's also a Free Read mode if you're looking for something a tad more casual, with a built-in mapping system you can use to help you track your adventure.

As for replayability, you can always give difficult encounters another try each time you fail, thanks to the unlimited bookmarks that help you come back with a vengeance. The handy automated Adventure Sheet is there to help you manage your stats and inventory too, because survival should always be first on your mind, shouldn't it?

That said, if you're keen on sinking your teeth into this classic quest on mobile, you can purchase Crypt of the Sorcerer at $3.99 a pop or your local equivalent. Fighting Fantasy Classics itself is free to download on the App Store or on Google Play.
