The happy winners of the Pocket Gamer Awards
All the hard work was worth it

As part of our GDC 2011 party - sponsored by Papaya Mobile, TapMe and Free App A Day - we announced our Pocket Gamer Awards for 2011 - also sponsored by Papaya Mobile.
Of course, you can read the complete list of winners, ranging from iPhone and iPad, to Android, Windows Phone 7 and Java/Brew games here.
Happily, some developers of those games were on hand to receive their prizes in person.
Unlike the Oscars, we didn't let they make speeches, but we did take their photos holding their award with Paul Chen from Papaya Mobile.
Chillingo won two awards for Cut the Rope - Best Casual/Puzzle Game and Most Innovative in the iPhone category.
Firemint won two awards for Real Racing 2 - Best Sports/Driving Game and Game of the Year in the iPhone catergory.
Square Enix won Best Adventure/RPG Game for Chaos Rings in the iPhone category.
EA Mobile won a whole bunch of awards and had a whole bunch of people on hand to pick them up.
It won for best iPhone publisher, best iPad action/arcade game with Mirror's Edge for iPad, best iPad sports/driving game for Madden NFL 11 for iPad, and best iPad publisher.
