Dungeon Defenders out on Android December 23rd, system requirements released

The hugely impressive-looking Dungeon Defenders, which uses the powerful Unreal Engine to throw about its whizzy 3D effects, is set to take a bow on Android on December 23rd.

That’s just a week after its iPhone debut – an impressive turn-around time for such a technically ambitious game.

Dungeon Defenders mixes strategic play with RPG elements, all wrapped up in a bright fantasy world. Developer Trendy Entertainment is calling it a “tower defense online action-RPG,” which about sums it up.

After initial worries that only next year’s dual-core handsets would be supported, the developer has provided a full compatibility guideline that should set many fears at rest.

While some will no doubt be disappointed, I thing it’s a pretty reasonable list of stipulations given the nature of the game, which is only the second smartphone game to use the Unreal Engine after the astonishing Infinity Blade on iOS.
