Dungelot will return for a third game. The addictive tile-tapping roguelike will get a threequel called Dungelot: Shattered Lands, which adds a fantasy story with branching paths.

Developer Pixeye says the game is "about surviving and exploring a dying world that relies on faith of its inhabitants, and mana - a powerful magic essence derived from the bowels of the planet".

This celestial butt magic will let you fight monsters, explore a map, buy or steal items from a shop, deck out your hero mansion, and play mini games.

Altogether it looks way more involved than the troubled Dungelot 2.

Shattered Lands will be a premium app, and has no release date yet. We'll let you know when we know more - in the mean time, check out this forum thread where the developer is answering questions about the game.
