I Dungelot. How much do you Dunge?

If you answered that you 'Dungelot 2', then you've fallen foul of my ingenious piece of word play to reveal that Dungelot 2 is out now for iOS.

As you will have already guessed, this game is Red Winter Software's sequel to the Bronze Award-winning Dungelot. In this follow-up, you plunge into the subterranean depths, looting, avoiding traps, and trying to escape with your life.

All of the dungeons you'll be crawling through are randomly generated, and they're designed to last between five and ten minutes.

The game looks absolutely gorgeous. It's got a shiny cartoon vibe that makes each dank lair you're wandering through feel like the base of some Disney baddie.

As well as smashing unique monsters with a variety of different powers in the face, you'll be picking up new artefacts, upgrading your equipment, and learning new skills every time you stumble through the gloom.

If Red Winter Software can build on the "casual roguelike" foundations of the original, then we could be in for something a bit special here.

It's out now on the App Store, and it's free. So, if you want to toddle off and try it for yourself, I would have no objections.
