CBS win rights to bring Zynga's Draw Something to TV screens
Win, Lose or Draw Something
Draw Something is about to make the jump from smartphones to TV screens, after CBS secured the rights to make a pilot based on the popular drawing game.
The show will follow the hit title's Pictionary-esque format of divining words from drawings, but will throw a studio audience, some celebrities, and a cash prize in for good measure.
According to Variety, you will also be able to play along from the comfort of your armchair, with viewers most likely utilising smartphones and tablets to compete for their own prizes.
TracingOf course, this is not the first time the Pictionary format has been brought to the small screen - those of a certain age may remember 80s picture-based word guess show Win, Lose or Draw.
Still, despite Zynga's recent stock drop-off and steadily declining Draw Something user figures, the war to make the pilot was reportedly hard-fought, with CBS outbidding Sony Pictures Television, Embassy Row, and Ryan Seacrest Productions.
Seacrest is reportedly on board as an executive producer, but will not be hosting.
