Door Kickers: Action Squad shotgun blasts its way onto mobile today

Door Kickers: Action Squad is a breakneck action game about bursting into gang hideouts and skilfully, viciously taking your targets down. You'll kit yourself out with the latest gear and weapons, then head out to enact some morally dubious justice.

It takes place in the crime-ridden town of Nowhere City USA. It's all about reactive, rapid-fire bouts of violence, with your crack team of SWAT operatives infiltrating the site and executing their mission as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Weapons here pack a real punch, meaning you'll have to master wild recoil patterns and time your reloads wisely to avoid leaving yourself open to enemy attack. Smart use of cover is an absolute must if you're going to survive – you're no superhero, after all.

Thankfully, you'll have a number of strategic abilities to utilise when in the heat of intense battle. These include your basic health and gear refills, but there's also the option to save up your points and unleash an ultimate ability to wreak havoc on your unsuspecting targets.

There are several different characters to select from, each with their own combat styles and upgrade paths. At launch, you can expect 80+ levels to work your way through, 60 weapons and gear pieces to collect, and over 20 different types of enemy to take down. There's even a tricky zombie invasion mode to get stuck into.

Action Squad launched first for PC back in 2018, before hitting Nintendo Switch in 2019. It earned some fairly glowing reviews, with praise generally being heaped on its versatile combat and retro aesthetic.

Door Kickers: Action Squad is now available for purchase from the App Store for $2.99. And while it's still showing up for pre-registration on Google Play, it should go live within the next day or so. The Android version comes in at the slightly higher price of $3.99.
