Square Enix artist and game director Tetsuya Nomura has indicated on Twitter that he is keen to do a sequel to PSP's Dissidia: Final Fantasy.

Featuring everyone from Final Fantasy's Warrior of Light, through to FFVII's poster boy Cloud Strife and Final Fantasy XII's Garanth, Dissidia was an action RPG and fighting game combo that mashed up 20 years of Final Fantasy characters in one mental 3D brawler.

Nomura's Tweet response said, "I’ll try my best for a Dissidia: Final Fantasy sequel," (translation by Siliconera), but the director is currently hard at work on Final Fantasy: Versus XIII for the PS3.

Take it with a pinch of salt, but between Dissidia's million sales and Square Enix's eager to please nature, we might see a sequel before another 20 years of Final Fantasy.
