Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia welcomes Reks from Final Fantasy XII as a new playable character

Square Enix has officially launched a new update for Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia, letting players get their hands on Reks from Final Fantasy XII. Vaan's older brother, in particular, will be joining the fray so that players can add this loyal Dalmascan knight to their party, and witness his commitment to fighting for his family with featured draws for his weapons from now until June 14th.

In the latest update to Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia, players can look forward to discovering more of Reks' narrative within the Fear for Home Lost Chapter. Playing through this new content will help players unlock Reks and score his 5-star gear. Plus, clearing the chapter in co-op mode will offer up even more rewards.

Personally, Final Fantasy XII is my favourite FF title, so Reks joining the fight is pretty exciting. Reks is a bit of an underrated character too, in my opinion, which just makes his addition to the lineup of characters here even cooler. Just in case you're curious about the development process that went on during the making of the game, you can take a look at our developer interview for some insights into how the game was crafted and for a small look behind the scenes.

In the meantime, if you're keen on joining in on all the festivities, you can do so by downloading Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia on the iOS App Store and on the Google Play Store for Android devices. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
