Digital Chocolate has put pen to paper on a three-way deal with mobile payment network OpenMarket and micro-billing provider GlobalCharge to deliver an in-billing solution for games on 3UK handsets.

The partnership between the three firms will allow players of the publisher's games to add the cost of any in-app purchases to their pre or post-pay mobile account.

The first title to benefit will be Millionaire City – itself already embedded on new 3UK phones – but should extend across the publisher's range if successful.

"This is a significant development for both 3UK and for app providers," said OpenMarket associated director of marketing, Andrew Darling.

"It enables a simple, quick and consumer-friendly way to monetise a new genre of social games. OpenMarket and GlobalCharge have developed a best of breed payment solution that is tailored to the new social game and app formats which are becoming more prevalent."
