Hamburg-based iVentureCapital has announced it's made an undisclosed investment in developer Kamicat.

It's based in Hanover, with offices in Berlin and Barcelona.

Released in 2012, its Kamicat Football now has five million registered users on Facebook.

Combining live action with manager elements, it's available in nine languages, and a cross-platform mobile version is due for release in late 2013.

Got the cream

"The quality of Kamicat Football convinced us to move forward with this new investment. In fact, I am an enthusiastic Kamicat Football player myself," said iVentureCapital CEO Michael Reul.

iVentureCapital's portfolio of investments includes studios such as MobileBits, Pro 3 Games, Farbflut Entertainment, and Infernum.

It also has stakes in payment service provider BillingPartner, gameplay recording company Kamcord, and games performance network TrafficCaptain.

In fact, Kamicat has signed a deal to use TrafficCaptain as its exclusive marketing channel.

"In future, we can rely on additional support from iVentureCapital to generate traffic and on TrafficCaptain's marketing expertise to move Kamicat Football ahead, and furthermore, to generate advertising revenue," commented Kamicat co-founder Christoph Reisner.

"The mobile version planned for release later this year will accompany gamers on the move and increase the user base by unlocking new potential for Kamicat Football."
