Berlin-based games performance marketing specialist Crobo has acquired TrafficCaptain. It's a rival UA platform based in Hamburg.

The price of the acquisition wasn't revealed.

The combined outfit - which will continue to run both offices - now boasts over 50 staff, covering the browser and the mobile games markets.

"By acquiring TrafficCaptain, we can welcome an experienced and passionate team of international marketing experts into the Crobo family", said Crobo CEO Matthias Lesch.

"We can also further strengthen our relationships and contact with the numerous game developers and publishers with the office in the games hub Hamburg."

Happy ending

Founded in 2012, TrafficCaptain was backed by specialist game investor iVentureCapital. This acquisition marks its first exit.

"We are very proud of what the TrafficCaptain team has achieved up to this point and we are sure that it will contribute to the further growth and expansion of Crobo," said iVentureCapital CEO Michael Reul.

"This is the perfect time for us to move on with new projects."
