Just last week, we told you about an interesting King Pig figurine that unlocks a new game mode inside Angry Birds HD when you place it on top of your iPad's 9.7-inch display.

Anyway, I was casually strolling around my local branch of Asda late last night when I stumbled across a couple of shelves devoted to these physical in-app purchases and iPad app add-ons.

Naturally, my eyes were immediately drawn to an extremely cute Om Nom figurine (pictured below), which enables a new game mode in ZeptoLab's Cut the Rope; and to high-flying WWE brawler Rey Mysterio (also pictured below), whom you slide around your screen in order to kick the stuffing out of other WWE Superstars inside the iPad's WWE Rumblers app [download].

I also spied iPad tie-in toys based on Peppa Pig, Fireman Sam, Cars, Hot Wheels, and a bunch of other popular brands and franchises.

You can buy most of these add-ons from everybody's favourite online retailer Amazon. We also presume Tesco and other high street shops and supermarkets stock them.
