Life in the Old One yet

Cult Xbox Live hit Cthulhu Saves the World screaming onto iOS and Android on June 28th

It took a little while, but the wait is nearly over: retro-RPG satire Cthulhu Saves the World will be bringing the crazy to iOS and Android this Thursday.

The last news we heard regarding the mobile port of Zeboyd Games's Xbox Live indie darling, it had been submitted to Apple for approval.

Presumably, the folks in charge of the process took one look at Cthulhu's horrific, sanity-eroding visage, immediately misplaced all their marbles, and carelessly certified the game for public release.

We're not complaining, of course, as we've been itching to fall to our knees and worship the Old One in his latest mobile incarnation - especially when feedback to the original game was so strong.

Look at it!

Taking control of the Old One himself in Cthulhu Saves the World, you embark on a tongue-in-cheek Final Fantasy-style quest - complete with '90s visuals - to help Cthulhu regain his powers and save the world (before destroying it himself).

You will be able to download Cthulhu Saves the World from the App Store and Google Play this Thursday for around £1.49 / $1.99.
