Win a copy of the God of War novelisation
Five up for grabs

The thing that's great about video games isn't that they educate you, or improve your reflexes. It's not that they can be used for various medical therapies, or that they provide a means for people to socialise on equal terms.
The thing that's great about video games is that they let you take control of a pulsating lunatic like Kratos and go berserk in a bulging gut-drenched theme park based on the Greek mythology books you used to read in bed as a child.
Where once the cyclops was just an artist's impression in a library book, now he's a walking, talking goon whose neck you can break and whose eye you can scoop out like a jellyfish and crush underfoot.
God of War is great, but its narrative elements aren't always entirely convincing. There's something in there about revenge for something or other, which is supposed to put Kratos's bloodthirsty rampage into some sort of context, but most of us watch the cut-scenes in a kind of twitching daze, marvelling at the graphics, itching to get back to the slaughter, absorbing nothing.
If you want to know more about what drives Kratos to 'act out' in the way he does, God of War may just be the book for you. It's by Matt Stover and Robert E. Vardeman, and it follows the travails of Kratos as ventures out at the gods' behest to kill Ares, the God of War.
We haven't read it, so can't vouch for it personally, but if you want to put yourself in the running to win a copy just answer this question:
Kratos is also known as: a) Ghost of Athensb) Ghost of Sparta
c) Ghost of Delphi
