Atlus has kept details about its side-scrolling 3DS action RPG Code of Princess close to its vest since announcing the game’s localization in June, but now a wealth of new information has made its way online following the release of a character showcase trailer.

The trailer highlights the first of the 50 (yes, 50!) playable characters in Code of Princess, and shows off their various fighting styles, weapons, and states of undress.

In addition to the character showcase trailer, the gorgeous-looking beat-'em-up received a firm release date of October 9th in North America. Those who pre-order will receive a free art book and soundtrack CD.

Risque Princess

Atlus also announced that Code of Princess will support online co-op and versus play. These two modes will both support groups of up to four players and will be accessible via an internet or local Wi-Fi connection.

Unfortunately for fans of games like Golden Axe on the other side of the Atlantic, Atlus has made no announcement as to when – or if - this game will make it into the hands of 3DS owners in Europe.
