Get ready to remember the days of sticky floors and little plastic bags filled with 10p coins or quarters, as Capcom is taking us back to the heady heyday of the arcade.

Capcom Arcade is a unique freemium app that gives you a full Capcom arcade hall for nothing, giving you three tickets per day to use of any of the classic games available without forking over any dosh.

If you want to play for longer, just cough up for some tokens or buy the entire arcade machine for unlimited goes.

The machines currently on offer are Street Fighter II, Ghouls ‘n Ghosts, 1942 and Commando.

More games are coming every month. And while the ports are generally pretty faithful, you can choose to lower the difficulty a tad with the iPhone mode.

The in-app purchase prices are pretty reasonable, with full games costing £1.79 / $2.99 / €2.39, and 10 extra tokens setting you back 59p / 99c / €0.79 a time.

Capcom Arcade is out now, and free, on iPhone and iPod touch.
