Machinarium maker Amanita Design will release the iPad edition of its bizarre nature adventure Botanicula on the UK and US App Stores tonight.

The game stars five nature trail objects - a stick, mushroom, feather, poppy head, and one of those funky Chinese lantern-looking flowers - on a quest to plant the last seed in a world overrun with evil spiders.

It's a point-and-click adventure, so you'll be solving puzzles, finding items, and exploring locations. Like in Machinarium, though, there isn't a word of dialogue in this game, so you'll have to work things out from body language and animations.

Botanicula will cost £2.99 / $4.99, and will surface on iPad in the UK and US at around midnight. Amanita tells us that an Android edition is also in the works.
