Bobby Carrot Forever 1.3 iPhone update to use micro-transactions
As well as deploying free level packs
The Bobby Carrot franchise has been going forever on mobile, and it's as close to a mascot as the platform has ever come to having. For that reason, we were relieved when FDG successfully brought the series to the iPhone generation with Bobby Carrot Forever.
FDG has just let us know that the 1.3 update is coming. In the unlikely but possible case that you’re wondering what happened to 1.2, it’s been leapfrogged entirely to accord with the imminent Apple 3.0 software update.
1.3 contains such treasures as two tracks by Japanese guest composer Atsushi Fukai, a level pack called ‘Surreal’ (the difficulty setting for which is ‘high’), a new world map, five buyable level packs for world map 2, and a system whereby you can buy tickets for future level packs at the Train Station.
It looks like FDG is looking to take advantage of the micro-payments that Apple 3.0 allows. Expect to see a lot more of it in future.
