[Updated] Blood Bowl will be hitting a sanguine touchdown tomorrow on iPad and Android tablets
Updated on July 31st at 09:25: The game is out right now on the App Store and the Google Play Store.

If you fancy playing the iPad version it'll set you back £2.99 / $4.99 [buy]. The Android version will cost you exactly the same [buy].

Cyanide Studio has tackled us like an orcish brute to tell us that its fantasy sports strategy game Blood Bowl will be available on iPad and Android tablets tomorrow.

Originally we were told that early July was the planned released date. Obviously, that never happened.

Still, Blood Bowl will be coming out in July, be it on the last day of the month.

We've also been informed that Blood Bowl on tablets can be connected with the PC version. This lets you play with the teams that you've previously made on that platform.

I'd hope that you'd be familiar by now, but if you aren't, Blood Bowl plays like turn-based American football.

It's based on Games Workshop's Warhammer series spin-off boardgame of the same name. You pick a team of various creatures (Orcs, Dwarves, Skaven, and so on), each of which come with their own strengths and weaknesses.

Blood Bowl

It comes with a single player Campaign mode that'll let you, eventually, compete in the titular Blood Bowl.

There's also a hotseat multiplayer mode for when you have a mate around. The cross-platform online matches are probably where you're going to spend most of your time, though.

Blood Bowl will be available to purchase on the App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon App Store tomorrow.
