Gaijin Games - best known for its Bit.Trip series of titles - has brought match-four puzzler Bloktonik to the iPad.

The aim of the game is to match-up coloured blocks into groups of four, while discovering bonuses, and (hopefully) racking up a high score.

Unlike in traditional match-four games, the coloured blocks don't simply fall in one direction, and you'll find yourself connecting blocks that come at you from four different angles.

To even the odds ever so slightly you have special power-ups and bombs to get you out of the stickiest situations.

Bloktonik features retro chiptunes by Bit Shifter and house beats by renowned UK DJ Jimpster.

There are four difficulty levels present for both veterans and noobs, including an exclusive Insane mode to truly test your skills.

If you're cautious with your pennies you can check out a Flash version of the game, before dropping £1.99/$2.99 for it in the App Store.
