Don't let the space bugs bite

Cross the beams to burn away space parasites in co-op action-puzzler Beam Team

Contrary to the seemingly sound advice given in Ghostbusters, the two heroes in Beam Team rely on crossing their red-hot beams to eradicate space parasites.

You can play Funbag Games's new story-driven space-based action-puzzle game solo or with a friend on the same device.

There are two heroes to control here, so you won't get too confused.

One hero slides along the side of the screen, while the other shoots up from the bottom. Their beams meet somewhere in the middle of the screen, which is filled with gems, explosives, and gruesome parasites.

Your job is to use the dual laser beams with extreme prejudice to cut away the parasites. The challenge is to do that in decent time while not destroying too many precious minerals.

There are 100 levels in Beam Team's Story Mode, so it should take you a while to complete.

There's also a multiplayer Versus Mode (with 50 levels) available for you and an pal to compete in. Each of you tries to burn away your colour of parasite the quickest.

You can download the taster version of Beam Team for free on the App Store [download] or Google Play [download]. You'll have to pay 69p / 99c to unlock the full version.
