After being stuck in Apple approval limbo for what feels like an age, Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition has finally popped up on the App Store.

Beamdog actually submitted this preened and polished version of the Dungeons & Dragons-based RPG classic to The Big A at the start of December. Then, however, everything went a bit quiet.

But now it's loud again, and Beamdog's massive isometric adventure is finally available on a device you can play on a train.

We had our reservations about Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition back in December 2012. Our biggest gripe was with with the difficult controls. For this sequel, though, Beamdog has overhauled the UI, which should make for a smoother experience the second time around.

You can grab Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition from the App Store for the iPad right now for £10.49 / $14.99.
