Babylonian Twins finally out on iPhone now
Hanging gardens of BabiPhone
Babylonian Twins, the (quite literally) mythical Amiga title created to provide a more enlightened view of Iraq and its history, has now finally found a home on the App Store.
For a full understanding of the importance of this release, have a read of Spanner’s smashing précis.
The game looks excellent: suitably polished for its new format, and resembling a cross between Aladdin (Mega Drive) and Prince of Persia.
This is no simple platformer though, and an intriguing co-operative mechanic adds a puzzle element to the whole affair.
Moreover, despite being more than a decade late to the table, Babylonian Twins’ diplomatic aspirations are no less pertinent today – it might even be said they are more so.
You can buy the game now for £1.79 ($2.99) and enjoy a part of the Amiga’s history that was never written.
